Oscar Moorewho worked pre -the 50’s was the bridge between the Old style Freedie Green “four to the bar” comping and the modern player.

Using and amplified guitar, he used chord intros and punches, combined with beautifully crafted single line with in general four to the bar rhythmic accompaniment.
